What is PriceCheck SuperMarket?
It's a grocery companion from PriceCheck. Scan a till slip or shopping list, or ask the shopping assistant for one. We match each item to real products, compare prices across your supermarkets, and help you fill the items into your basket in minutes, ready for checkout.
Which stores does it work with?
Checkers Sixty60, Woolies Dash, Pick n Pay asap! and SPAR2U.
Is the app really free?
Yes. The free plan lets you connect up to 2 stores and save up to 3 shopping lists, with unlimited searching, add to cart and orders. Paid plans start at R29 a month and add more saved lists, every store on Plus and Pro, AI chat credits for the shopping assistant, and no ads.
What are AI chat credits?
They're what the shopping assistant uses when you ask it to build a list. Starter includes 50 credits, and Plus and Pro include 100. The free plan doesn't include the assistant, but you can still scan lists and slips.
Can it read handwriting?
It works with handwriting, printed lists and till slips. For the best result use a clear, well-lit photo. If something can't be read you can always add or edit items yourself.
Does it buy things for me?
No. We help you fill the matched items into the store's basket and show you the cheapest way to split it. You review everything and complete checkout with the store yourself.
Why does it ask for camera and photo access?
The camera is used to photograph your shopping list or till slip, and photo access lets you import a picture you've already taken.
How do I cancel a paid plan?
Subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play, so you manage or cancel them there, any time. You can also restore a previous purchase from the Plans screen in the app.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. You can delete your account from inside the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled.
